Overview
An exclave of Oman separated from the rest of the country by the United Arab Emirates, the Musandam Peninsula juts into the Strait of Hormuz where its isolation gives rise to the region’s colourful history and rich culture. With its impressive mountains and soaring grey limestone cliffs, the Musandam’s outstanding natural beauty offers a stunning backdrop to our adventurous and cultural activities – typical trip duration 4 days.
A trip to the Musandam would not be complete without the iconic dolphin spotting dhow cruise. The unique heritage of Musandam is indeed a cultural voyage and there is no better way to explore the coast, with its spectacular marine life, than by traditional dhow. Often considered the highlight of the trip – especially for our international guests – the experience offers an almost guaranteed encounter with dolphins in the wild.
The featured landscape of the Musandam enables North Star to deliver an exciting range of activities at a more challenging level than those conducted for primary year groups. Mountain Biking is conducted within the stunning wadis and our Rock Climbing takes place on real rock. By their very nature, our Musandam activities are highly suited to providing progression to those coming back to us for further adventure.
